Xbox’s User Interface And Home Screen Will Be Updated In 2023

Both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S are getting a new home screen and a new way to use the user interface. Ivy Krislov, the senior product manager lead for Xbox Experiences, said in a blog post on Xbox Wire that a random group of Xbox Insiders members will be able to try out the work-in-progress update this week.

“Starting this week, a random subset of Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring will see some layout, design, and ease of access changes as we try out different approaches,” Krislove wrote.

“We’re also looking into ways to add new game channels and collections when you scroll down. These would have content chosen for you based on things like the games you’ve played or how to get the most out of your Game Pass subscription.”

Some of the most important changes in this preview test include a new “Jump back in” row that gives players quick access to their most recently played games and apps, curated categories, and recommendations for suggested games.

New dedicated tile designs for key system apps like Settings, Store, and Search. The update to the Xbox home screen and user interface is set to come out in 2023.
