Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty developer Team Ninja has released new technical information on the game, including the specifications advised for PC users and the performance modes console gamers may anticipate.
Players on Xbox and PlayStation won’t be surprised by the available visual modes. The standard Performance and Resolution choices are available on current-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with these modes preferring, respectively, frame rate and resolution.
Team Ninja pointed out that on Xbox Series S, Quality mode attempts to produce a 2560 x 1440 resolution while Resolution mode targets a complete 4K output. Performance mode strives to deliver a fluid 60 frames per second.
Don’t expect more than 30 frames per second on last-gen consoles. The Xbox One and regular PS4 will produce 1080p graphics at 30 frames per second, while the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro aim for 4K HD.
The game’s PC requirements are more demanding; obtaining 720p and 30 frames per second requires a GTX 1650, 8GB of RAM, and 60GB of storage space. You’ll need a GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card and 16GB of RAM in your PC for a better experience at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
The PC specifications for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are still being worked out by Team Ninja, but according to internal testing, the game runs at 4K 60 frames per second on a GeForce RTX 3080 and with the graphics set to standard.
Players of Steam Deck may wish to wait before purchasing the game because Team Ninja has stated that it will not be supported on that portable PC gaming device. The good news is that cross-save compatibility will be available between console families and free current-gen upgrades from PS4 to PS5 and Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.
From February 24 until March 26, a final Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo will be accessible before the game’s March 3 release. This sample includes the game’s first two chapters.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a spiritual successor to Team Ninja’s Souls-like Nioh series, will also be accessible on Xbox Game Pass starting on launch day.
