What Is The Average AQI In Delhi 2023

System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) claimed that the air quality index of Delhi was recorded at moderate category as it had an AQI of 166 on Thursday morning at around 7:30 am on October 12, 2023. SAFAR further added that the AQI of Delhi’s IIT was recorded at 173 at 7:30 a.m. while the AQI of Delhi’s International Airport T3 was recorded at 193 which also lies in the moderate category.

Talking about the NCR regions like Gurugram and Noida, the air quality index of Gurugram was recorded at 162 and the AQI of Noida was 145 lying in the moderate category on Thursday morning, October 12, 2023. Whereas regions like Ayanagar, Lodhi Road, and Dhirpur recorded an AQI of 156, 145, and 176 respectively. With an overall AQI of Delhi in the moderate category, several regions of the capital city recorded ‘poor’ AQI. The regions with ‘Poor’ AQI are Anand Vihar, WazirPur, Bawana, RK Puram, and Jahangirpuri. In Anand Vihar AQI was recorded at 210, in Wazirpur the air quality index was recorded at 231 while in RK Puram and Bawana was recorded at at 205 and 261 respectively. TheĀ  AQI of Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area also fell into the Poor category of the AQI scale as it was recorded at 232.
