Stellar Blade is an upcoming action-adventure game that is being made by the Korean company Shift Up. It will be released in 2023 for the PlayStation 5 by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Stellar Blade is played from the point of view of a third person. The game is made up of two parts: fighting and looking around. In combat, the main goal is to block enemy strikes and then use combo skills and items to beat them.
Skills are gained after spending Beta Gauge (BG). When you correctly block and dodge in battle, you get BG. You can also fill up a Burst Gauge meter by blocking enemy attacks and putting together combos. This meter can then be used to give buffs or use powerful attacks against foes.
The game also uses the haptic input of the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller to let you know when enemies attack and how well your weapons are aimed. You can explore the world of the game by climbing up walls and swinging on ropes to get around and find hidden secrets, like extra outfits.
Stellar Blade Release Date & Development
The game was first shown in a teaser video on April 4, 2019, with the working title Project Eve. It will be made for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on Unreal Engine 4 by Shift Up, which was started by Blade & Soul artist Kim Hyung-tae.
In late 2020, a prototype for new gameplay and art style was shown, but none of the game’s platforms were mentioned. Later, during a September 2021 PlayStation event, it was said that the game would only be available on the PlayStation 5.
In a September 2022 State of Play, the game’s final name was revealed to be Stellar Blade, and a 2023 release date was set. There is currently no other information that can be provided in addition to this.
