On Wednesday, the Revenue Minister of Delhi announced that the Delhi Govt will set up more than 1000 Chhath Ghath for Chhath Puja this year. Chhath Puja 2023 Preparation
The Revenue Minister of Delhi, Atishi called a high-level meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. The Delhi cabinet minister directed the official to start preparations for the Chhath Puja festival and make sure that the devotees do not suffer any inconvenience and mismanagement at the last moment. Atishi, the Revenue Minister of Delhi, directed all the district magistrates to confirm the locations for Chhath Ghats in their regions as per the convenience of worshipers. The minister also directed all the magistrates to start the construction work of Chhath Ghats in their respective districts. Atishi added, “All district magistrates should identify locations for Chhath Ghats in their respective districts as per the convenience of devotees and initiate the construction of ghats there.”
In addition, the DMs were also directed to conduct meetings with the local committees of Chhath Puja to address the gathering guidelines and make preparations according to the successful organization of the festival. The Revenue Minister announced that 1000 Chhath Ghats will be made in the national capital and provide all the necessary facilities to the devotees for worship such as clean water, electricity, restrooms, medical services, tents, security, power backup, and CCTV cameras.
