Vox Machina Season 2: Catch the Season 2 Trailer for Critical Role’s Vox Machina!

Vox Machina Season 2: Storylines and character returns from season 1 have been confirmed for season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina. Based on Critical Role’s first Dungeons & Dragons campaign, The Legend of Vox Machina season 1 follows an unlikely band of heroes who kill a dragon to earn the acclaim of the King of Tal’Dorei.

Vox Machina eventually leads a revolt to reclaim the city of Whitestone and cement the party’s place in history after they run into Lord and Lady Briarwood, who have stolen the ancestral homeland of one of their party members.

At the end of the first season of The Legend of Vox Machina, a group of dragons flies toward the king’s palace, putting everyone inside in grave danger. No one should be surprised by this news, as season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina has already been confirmed, but Amazon Studios has now revealed details from the upcoming second season of the show.

Popular characters Zahra (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) and Kashaw (Will Friedle) from Amazon Studios’ Critical Role will appear in The Legend of Vox Machina.

Additionally, The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 sees the return of Uriel (Khary Payton) and Delilah (Grey DeLisle), as both characters are featured in images released by Prime Video, and Lance Riddick (John Wick) joins the series as Thordak the Cinder King, the leader of the dragons. Here is the official synopsis for Season 2.

Updated information on Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina

Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina will continue with its signature humor, but the storyline will be even more serious than the Briarwood storyline. The stakes for Vox Machina are higher than ever now that dragons are wreaking havoc in Tal’Dorei, and not just one city is in danger.

As in the Critical Role campaign, the heroes will need to stock up on supplies to give them a fighting chance against the dragons if this season is anything like the Critical Role campaign.

Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina could become boring if it follows the source material too closely; a season spent collecting items, for example, is not particularly exciting.

Given that every member of the original cast is a producer on Critical Role, their planned return is not entirely unexpected.

In addition to the previously mentioned Laura Bailey (Vex’ahlia), Liam O’Brien (Vax’ildan), Taliesin Jaffe (Percival de Rolo), Ashley Johnson (Pike Trickfoot), Marisha Ray (Keyleth), Sam Riegel (Scanlan Shorthalt), Travis Willingham (Grog Strongjaw), and Matthew Mercer (Various) will all be returning to their respective roles.

Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina will allow viewers to get to know the party better as they come to terms with the devastation brought on by the Chroma Conclave. The stakes will be higher, but the pace will be slower.

The epic Legend of Vox Machina season 2 trailer has already shown that the show’s action will be ratcheted up with the introduction of new allies and antagonists. Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina will return to screens on January 20, so it won’t be long until we see an archer take on a swarm of dragons.

Vox Machina’s season 2 trailer features a draconic retcon

The second season of Critical Role’s The Legend of Vox Machina promises to be even raunchier and more action-packed than the first. The premiere of the first three episodes will take place on Amazon Prime Video on January 20; subsequent weeks will bring an additional three episodes.

Starring Laura Bailey (Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Star Wars: The Bad Batch), Marisha Ray (Final Fantasy XV: Comrades), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers), Critical Role began as a Dungeons & Dragons actual play series.

Since then, under the direction of Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer (Overwatch), the brand has amassed a sizable online fanbase, its own publishing imprint, and a slew of promotional tie-ins and products.

Whereas the first season revolved around a particularly evil vampire, the second pits our heroes against the Chroma Conclave, a group of very powerful dragons. Fans of the real play series have naturally flocked to this new installment, but Mercer and the team are doing their best to keep things fresh and exciting for even the most devoted of viewers.

Specifically, the new teaser concludes with a retcon of a legendary battle against the ancient black dragon Umbrasyl that is both surprising and satisfying. In addition to surpassing Ant-Man and rehashing a fan-favorite storyline, the season’s slew of celebrity cameos is sure to delight viewers.

The voices of Will Friedle (Boy Meets World), Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings), Henry Winkler (Barry), Lance Reddick (John Wick), Cree Summer (Rugrats/The Patrick Show), Alanna Ubach (Euphoria), Cheech Marin (Up in Smoke), Troy Baker (The Last of Us), Sendhill Ramamurthy (Beauty and the Beast), Ralph Innerson (The Witch), and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (The (Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence).

Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Encanto), Indira Varma (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Game of Thrones), Gina Torres (911: Lone Star), Kelly Hu (BMF), and Esme Creed-Miles all reprise their roles as returning guest stars (Hanna).
