This train accident happened at around 7:00 p.m. This horrific train accident occurred on the Howrah-Chennaio line in Vizianagaran district of Andhra Pradesh. This accident was deadly and very horrific. This accident took the life of 13 people and a total of 50 people got injured. Some months ago a similar accident occurred in Odisha. That train accident is remembered as the Balasore train accident which happened in June 2023.

According to the source, Yesterday, tragically two trains collided with each other in Andhra Pradesh Vizianagaram district at 7:00 pm on 29th October 2023, Sunday. It has been reported that the Palasa passenger train hit the Rayagada passenger train. The train hit from behind at Kantakapalli which is about 40 km from Visakhapatnam. On this accident, the superintendent of Vizianagaram police M Deepika gave a statement in which has stated that a total of 13 people died 7 people had been already identified and police were trying to identify other bodies. On this accident, The PM of India, Narendra Modi has announced Rs. 2 lakh to the deceased people’s family and Rs. 50,000 to the people who were injured yesterday because of the train accident.

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh to the family of deceased people Rs. 2 lakh to injured people and Rs. 50,000 for minors injured people. CM of Andhra Pradesh has also announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh for the family of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 for the injured people. It has been said that behind this train accident, the reason is human error. No statement has been given till now. The proper cause of this train accident has not been announced till now.
