Vampire Survivors 2 Won’t Happen: Unless the Developer Has a “Radically New” Idea

Don’t expect a Vampire Survivors 2 unless the people who made the first game come up with something “radically new” for a sequel.

Luca “poncle” Galante, the sole developer of Vampire Survivors, told GameSpot that any new features or mechanics he wants to add can be added to the original game through “content updates.”

For Galante, something very different would have to happen for there to be a second book. Galante said –

“With the way Vampire Survivors is designed, we can deliver both new content and new game mechanics on the existing game, so why make a sequel?”

“I think that if we make a sequel or a spiritual successor, then we should offer something radically new.”

So fans of Vampire Survivors shouldn’t get too excited about a sequel anytime soon, but Galante isn’t saying that one won’t happen.

Vampire Survivors was in Early Access for less than a year before it came out for PC in October 2022, for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One through Game Pass in November, and for mobile platforms in December.
