US Government Concludes Evidentiary Phase Of Lawsuit Over Search Engine Monopoly

In this article, we are going to look at the Google antitrust trial. Now the government of the US has concluded the evidentiary phase of the lawsuit in the search engine monopoly. The government of the United States has tried to establish Google’s monopolization of the search engine market and abuse the position of the stakes antitrust lawsuit. It has been claimed that the Google antitrust vs. US government trial is now completely set to wrap up the evidentiary phase of the battle in the court. There has been a lawsuit filed against Google for breaking the rules of antitrust law with some tactics that are used to dominate online search and some online advertising.

On 12 September 2023, there was a trial was started in which the Justice Department of the United States sought to prove that Google is a monopolist and also Google has abused its monopoly power to favor it is their bottom line. Till now no decision has been taken to hold the closing arguments which have been officially made. Now we are going to share some important points that have been raised by Google at the time of the trial, read them in the next paragraph of this article.

The first point which is raised by Google is that they are big as they are good. The company has argued that the US government was completely wrong to state that if the laws are broken on to the hold in the massive market share. Google has stated that the search engine is very popular and it is popular just because of its high quality. The second point is that Apple has praised Google’s search. The lead lawyer of Google, John Schmidtlein has recently; said that the success of Microsft turning the default on Verizones phones in 2008 and also in Noika and Buseberry in the year 2011 which officially ended up as people bypassed Bing and started searching on Google Search. The third point is they are not a monopoly.
