Yoshifumi Tozuka is the author and illustrator of the manga series Undead Unluck. Since January 2020, it has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, and as of May 2023, its chapters have been collected in sixteen tankōbon volumes.
In October of 2023, David Production and TMS Entertainment will debut an anime television series adaptation. Viz Media serializes the manga digitally on its Shonen Jump website. Viz Media announced the print and digital publication of the manga in October 2020, with the first volume being released on May 4, 2021.
By September 2022, over 1.8 million copies of the manga were in circulation. It won the sixth Next Manga Award in 2020 with 31,685 votes, besting the other 50 nominees. The manga is rated fourteenth on Takarajimasha’s list of the best manga of 2021 for male readers.

The series rated sixth on the Honya Club website’s “Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics of 2021” list. Kinoko Nasu of Type-Moon provided a recommendation for the series on the obi of the ninth volume.
In August 2022, it was announced that an anime television series adaptation of the series would be produced and planned by TMS Entertainment and animated by David Production. The series is directed by Yuki Yase, with Hideyuki Morioka handling character designs and Kenichiro Suehiro composing the music. The premiere is scheduled for October 2023.
TMS Entertainment and Bang Zoom! Entertainment announced in June 2023 that they will conduct open auditions for an English dub role in the series on July 4 at the Anime Expo.
