He has been finally released by the North Korean authorities as he was arrested by the North Korean officers on 18th July 2023. he was arrested as he crossed and went to North Korea. Who Is Travis King?
Travis King is a United States Army soldier who has crossed over the Military Demarcation Line in the Joint Security Area. He was born in 1999 or maybe in 2000 so as of 2023 he may be 23 years or 24 years old. He has been present in the service since 2021. He is in the Unit of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. On 18th July 2023, He crossed the Military Democratic Line in the Joint Security Area into North Korea when he was on the civilian tour of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Because of that, he is in the headlines right now as on 18th July he was detained by the North Korean authorities and yesterday he was released.
Travis King’s Early Life
Travis King was born to his parents. His father’s name is Thomas King and his mother’s name is Claudine Gates. He was raised in Racine, Wisconsin. He completed his schooling in 2020 from, Washington Park High School. He joined the United States Army in January 2021. In 2022, he became the cavalry scout and he was assigned to 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armoured Division which arrived in South Korea. Travis King Released
Travis King has been recently released from the North Korean authorities. He was released on 27th September 2023, Wednesday as in July he crossed into North Korea. Currently, he is under custody and he is en route back to the United States. He is going to arrive back at his home today. It is not disclosed how he is going to be transferred.
