Now, thanks to a brief teaser trailer, we have our first official look at the game. The video begins with a pan across some mountains set to the series’ iconic musical tune, and then the logo emerges, establishing beyond a shadow of a doubt that The Elder Scrolls 6 is, in fact, real.
Even though we’ve been spoiled by the series’ high quality thus far, we’re eager to return to the Elder Scrolls world in Elder Scrolls 6; the previous games in the series are still among the best PC games ever created.
To quote Bethesda’s director Todd Howard: “For a decade at least,” players will be able to sink their teeth into The Elder Scrolls 6’s gameplay. Everything we know about The Elder Scrolls 6 is laid out here, from the game’s setting and gameplay elements to its possible release date.
Speculation on a Release Date
Anticipate a long wait time. Starfield, Bethesda’s next major release, is scheduled for September 2023. The Elder Scrolls 6 is confirmed to be in development, but full production is not expected to have begun at this point. According to professionals in the field, this suggests a release is highly improbable until 2026.
Michael Pachter, a well-known industry analyst, incorrectly forecasted in 2016 that The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released in 2017. According to Tyler McVicker, who works in the video game industry, The Elder Scrolls VI won’t be released until at least 2026. This is in significant part because of Starfield, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
