The Creator Of God Of War: Ragnarok Has Responded To The Recent Leaks

Cory Barlog, the producer of God of War Ragnarok, responds to the recent story and character leaks from the game.

One of the most anticipated PlayStation 4 games in recent times is God of War: Ragnarok. While players patiently wait for the game’s November release, some leakers have already revealed significant plot points.

Information about the game’s characters and the story’s general direction recently surfaced in an art book for God of War: Ragnarok. This leak has been covered up, but it’s still out there if you look hard enough. Thus, it is recommended that players not learn any story specifics before the game’s release and instead discover them as they progress through God of War Ragnarok.

Cory Barlog, director of God of War Ragnarok and the upcoming God of War (2018), has addressed the recent leaks on Twitter. As Barlog put it, “I will never understand why people upload leaks of something before it releases.” Many PlayStation games have been leaked in the years before their official release.

The clip from The Last of Us Part 2 was among the earliest significant leaks, appearing online months before the game’s official release. In addition, gameplay from The Last of Us Part 1 remake was leaked soon after it was announced. Players and Sony weren’t too concerned about the leak because it was a remake.

The leak of in-game cosmetics isn’t all that big of a concern when it comes to mainstream games. However, having important character and plot aspects revealed early might be incredibly disappointing if you’ve been waiting for a game for a long time.

In preparation for the release of God of War: Ragnarok, it’s advisable to avoid spoilers as much as possible. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of God of War: Ragnarok will be released on November 9. Preorders for God of War: Ragnarok, Launch Edition, are now live at ShopAtSC, Amazon, and Games The Shop.
