Stream Bad Sisters, Ted Lasso, and More for Free on Apple TV+ Until January 3rd!

Ted Lasso: Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly created the American sports comedy-drama series, Ted Lasso. It’s based on the same name character Sudeikis played in a series of commercials for NBC Sports’ Premier League coverage.

To get back at her ex-husband, the English soccer team’s owner hires Ted Lasso, an American college football coach. Despite his inexperience, Lasso tries to win the English market with a folksy, optimistic attitude.

The first three episodes of the season’s ten-episode run debuted on Apple TV+ on August 14, 2020. On July 23, 2021, Season 2 of the show’s 12 episodes debuted. It was announced in October 2020 that the show would return for a third season.

The series has been well-received by critics, who have praised the acting (especially that of Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, and Brett Goldstein), comedy, writing, themes, and optimistic tone. Its first season was nominated for a record-breaking twenty Primetime Emmys, making it the most-nominated comedy of all time.

The show won the 2021 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, and its stars, Jason Sudeikis, Kat Waddingham, and Alex Goldstein, all won for their performances.

The Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy went to Sudeikis, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series was bestowed upon him as well.

Bad Sisters

Sharon Horgan, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer created the Irish black comedy series Bad Sisters (previously titled Emerald). It was inspired by Malin-Sarah Gozin’s Flemish series Clan and was shot on location in Dublin, Ireland.

The premiere aired on August 19, 2022, and featured the first two episodes. On November 8th, 2022, Apple TV+ announced they had renewed the show for a second season.

Eva, Grace, Ursula, Bibi, and Becka Garvey are five sisters currently residing in modern-day Dublin. The sisters become the focus of a life insurance investigation after Grace’s abusive, controlling husband, John Paul, dies suddenly.

Season one takes place before John Paul’s death when Grace’s sisters plot to kill their brother-in-law, and season two takes place after John Paul’s death when an insurance agent is determined to prove the sisters’ malicious involvement to save his failing business.
