This is happening because of the heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu. A lot of areas in Tamil Nadu witnessed heavy rainfall on 14th November 2023, Tuesday. After the coastal and interior districts of Tamil Nadu received the downpours yesterday many areas officially declared a holiday for the schools on Tuesday. The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) has made a prediction in Thai they have declared that there is a possibility of isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu, Karaikal, and Puducherry on 14th November 2023, Tuesday.

As per the weather forecasting agency, the low-pressure area is mightily going to be formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal in the upcoming 24 hours because of the upper air cyclonic circulation of the southwest Bay of Bengal and over the South Andaman Sea. There is a very low pressure in the area which is likely to move the west northwestwards and concentrate into the depression because of the west-central Bay of Bengal on 16th November 2023, Thursday. On 14th November 2023, Tuesday, the authorities declared a school holiday in Ariyalur, Villupuram, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, Tiruvarur, and Thanjavur districts. If we look at the reports of today the forecast for 15th November 2023, Wednesday is that the weather forecasting agency has officially predicted very heavy rainfall at the isolated places in Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chengalpaltu districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry & Karaikal area. The condition in Chennai is currently cloudy and the temperature is around 26 to 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is around 23 degrees Celsius.
