Experience the thrill of Chornobyl Exclusion Zone in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl

Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl: Developer GSC Game World has released the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl trailer in six months, showcasing gameplay with some narrative trappings around the edges. The game is still scheduled for release sometime in 2019.

The new video, provided by IGN, demonstrates that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is shaping up to be an impressive sequel. Set in a post-apocalyptic world rife with dangerous mutated monsters, the story-driven shooter takes place in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.

Fight your way to the heart of the zone as you direct the game’s non-linear story through your decisions. The development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, which has been announced on and off for years, finally became official in 2020.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 brought a halt to the project, which had already been halted in December 2021 after GSC announced NFT plans and then quickly cancelled them due to fan backlash.

Many workers in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, were compelled to leave their homes. Other architects opted to strengthen security in the metropolis. Vladimir “Fresh” Yezhov, a GSC designer who volunteered to fight, was recently killed in action.

Xbox Series X/S (with Game Pass) and PC will get S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl in 2023. It was pushed into next year like many other titles, and you can see the full list of those affected by the delay bug here.
