South Central Railway launching ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ special trains

Special train Amrit Kalash Yatra will run from Vijayawada to New Delhi. SCR is the Portal of Indian Railways, developed to help a single window access information and services being provided by the various Indian railways. Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena as part of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” movement flagged off the “Amrit Kalas Yatra” from the Raj Niwas on 25 October 2023, Wednesday. According to the report, Amrit Kalash Yatra works as a tribute to national heroes who dedicated their lives to the country. The ” Meri Maati Mera Desh’ (MD) campaign has been a tribute to the Indian Army soldiers who offered their lives for their nation. As per the Union Culture Secretary Govind Mohan’s statement, more than 20,000 participants from across the country involved in the “Meri Maati Mere Desh” campaign shall be moved to Delhi in the facilitation of this train service with soil from home villages under the second phase of the government’s campaign. The special train is ready to start its journey from Vijayawada and this train is going to be launched on Saturday 28 October 2023 at around 10 am. It will make stops at many stations including Nagpur, Itarsi Junction, Kazipet, Balharshah, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, and Agra Cantt, before coming to Hazrat Nizamuddin at 2.25 p.m. on the following day.
