Samsung Android 13 The release of a Weather app compatible with all Wear OS 3+ watches is the latest proof that Google’s investment in the Pixel Watch will ultimately benefit the entire ecosystem.
Today (thanks to Mishaal Rahman and APK Mirror), you can get a simple Google app called “Weather” from the Play Store. Nowadays, the standard for wearable platforms is minimalistic designs, thus it comes as no surprise that this app adheres to the newest Material guidelines for Wear OS and features a straightforward feed arrangement.
This app solely displays local weather data, with the city name appearing above a bent clock. High and low markers sit on either side of the present temperature and weather icons.
A pill-shaped container with a color-coded “Current UV index” is displayed, followed by the presence or absence of precipitation. The “Next 8 hours” and “Next 5 days” sections provide further forecast information. You can refresh, switch units, and notice that the data comes from weather.com down at the very bottom, just like on the Android app, widgets, Google Search, and Smart Displays.
Tiles for “Forecast” (with a present condition also recorded) and “UV index” (with a colored ring) can be found outside of the program, as depicted on the cover. Finally, there are two issues with changing icons for “UV index” and “Weather.”
Once the app has been installed, you’ll need to allow it access to your location by selecting “Allow all the time” from the permissions menu when you first launch the app. While Google’s new Weather app for Wear OS 3 is a nice beginning, it lacks advanced features like multi-city support and other statistics (such as air quality index).

What’s New In Android 13 For Samsung Devices?
When compared to its predecessor, Android 12, Android 13 is a minor update. This year’s upgrade is far more modest than last year’s, which reimagined the platform’s look from the ground up on Pixel phones and added: “Material You” theming with unique hues.
Samsung’s “Color Palette,” the company’s implementation of Material You, gains support for new hues with the system-level updates introduced by Android 13 for Samsung smartphones. It is now possible to use third-party apps with themed icons on the home screen. Even if there are some third-party additions to security and privacy, Samsung is largely responsible for the advancements made to the Galaxy line of devices.
Samsung’s latest overlay, One UI 5.0, adds several improvements to the underlying Android 13 operating system. There is now a “Privacy Detection” option when sending images, a “Privacy, and Security” dashboard similar to Google’s, a new lock screen with more customization options, a “Maintenance Mode” that deletes all user data before sending the phone in for repairs, stackable widgets, and more.
Despite promises that the upgrade would introduce multi-user capability, Samsung mysteriously omitted the feature during the beta testing phase.

Samsung introduced three new smartphones using Android 13 in October 2022. All Galaxy S22 series devices began receiving One UI 5.0 with Android 13 on October 24th, with occasional delays on carrier models and in some areas.

Samsung has confirmed a preliminary list of devices and a timeline for when it wants to push out Android 13 in a letter issued to consumers in Korea via its Samsung Members app. Messages from Malaysia and India confirmed the timeframe as well. This schedule may shift slightly based on where you live and how quickly Samsung works, but it should serve as a general guideline.

If we take a look at Samsung’s roadmap for updates beginning in 2022 with Android 12, we can be quite confident that further devices will be added in the future.
