Agent Chris Redfield of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance is researching a zombie outbreak in San Francisco for which “the cause of the illness cannot be identified.” According to Resident Evil: Death Island’s official narrative, “The victims’ recent trips to Alcatraz Island are the only things they have in common.
Chris and his colleagues travel to the island searching for that clue, where they discover a brand-new grotesquery.”
The fourth installment of Cap com’s CG-animated film series, which consists of Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation, and Resident Evil: Vendetta, will be titled Death Island.
From a screenplay by Psycho-Pass author Makoto Fukami, the fourth part is directed by Eiichiro Hasumi, who also oversaw the Netflix miniseries Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in 2021.
The 2017 film Resident Evil: Vendetta, in which Leon and Chris battled a biohazard outbreak in New York City and used gun-fu skills to dispatch their mutant enemies, is directly followed by Resident Evil: Death Island.
