Razer Naga V2 Series Launched: The Razer Naga V2 Hyperspeed and V2 Pro are the company’s latest iterations of its modular gaming mouse designed with massively multiplayer online games in mind. Both have an appearance similar to earlier entries in Razer’s Naga line, but with upgraded hardware.
The $99.99 Razer Naga V2 Hyperspeed is a more affordable alternative to the Razer DeathAdder V2 X. Like its more expensive sibling, it contains 12 macro buttons under the right thumb and two additional buttons in the upper left corner of the mouse, to the left of the index finger. However, the V2 does not feature a removable button panel like the Naga X.
The all-new Razer Naga V2 Pro—the mouse for MMO gamers, with 3 swappable side plates for up to 22 programmable controls. The higher-priced Razer Naga V2 Pro (at $179.99) brings back the Naga’s signature swappable side panel, allowing you can switch between two, six, or 12 macro buttons, providing it greater versatility depending on the game you’re playing.
While twelve buttons may be excessive in Apex Legends, they are quite handy when slogging away at a massively multiplayer online game like Final Fantasy XIV or World of Warcraft. Though the number of buttons on the V2 Pro can be customised, it oddly lacks the extra pair found on the V2 Hyperspeed.

The HyperScroll wheel, first seen on the Razer Basilisk V2, makes its way onto the V2 Pro, allowing for speedy scrolling with a light flick of the wheel in either direction. However, with Razer’s Synapse software, the scroll wheel of the Naga V2 Pro can be adjusted for optimal tension and scroll speed.
Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity are shared between the two versions, although, unlike the DeathAdder V2 X, the V2 Hyperspeed is powered by AA batteries rather than a rechargeable internal battery.
While the V3 Pro uses the company’s proprietary wireless charging method, the V2 Pro is compatible with the company’s new USB-C wireless charging system. The 30K DPI Focus Pro optical sensor and 1000Hz polling rate are shared by the V2 Hyperspeed and V2 Pro.
