At one of the year’s largest fighting game tournaments, CEO 2023, in Daytona, water was purportedly thrown on Asian players and they were subjected to racial abuse.
This year, Daytona will host CEO 2023, which will feature a variety of titles in its lineups and an open bracket format. However, for a time, the focus has shifted away from the tournament itself due to allegations of public abuse against some of the participants.
According to Tekken player and streamer Phi “PhiDX” Lam, who participated in the Tekken 7 tournament and reached the Finals Bracket, “Daytona citizens yelled ‘ching ching chong’ and threw water at CBM Ulsan and other Koreans.”
Do you know that the next Elder Scrolls Oblivion remake, which is built entirely within Skyrim, has recently received a big update, and the future RPG appears to be a perfect way to pass the time until the Elder Scrolls 6 release date? Therefore, if you are interested in Skyblivion, the offspring of Oblivion and Skyrim, you should observe this:
Alex Jebailey, the founder and coordinator of CEO, was tagged by a user, to which he responded, “I’m aware, thank you.”
I’m aware thank you.

PhiDX only named Jae=hyun “CBM” Kim and Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon as two players that got racist slurs, but other Korean players such as Kim “Kkokkoma” Mu-jong and Jeon “Jeondding” Sang-hyun may have as well. At the event itself, Asian players triumphed, with Korean and Japanese competitors dominating the top spots.
Tekken veterans Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique of Pakistan and Joshua “Ghirlanda” Bianchi of Italy placed seventh and eighth, respectively. And PhiDX was the only American to finish in the top eight, placing fifth to sixth.
