Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks says “there will probably be a good week” until Davis Bertans returns.

Bertans came out with four ailments:

Brooks said that “there will probably be a good week” until Bertans (the four) returns. He says that he does not know the exact dates. Wagner (ankle) did not train and is still in his boot. Brooks says that it “will surely take him some time.”

Davis Bertans has a great season for Wizards. He scores an average of 15.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists, completing 44.9% of the field, 43.4% of the arc and 89.4% of the free-throw line.

Wizards acquired Bertans from San Antonio Spurs last offseason as part of a deal that was made for Spurs to sign Marcus Morris, who abandoned his agreement with San Antonio and instead signed with New York Knicks.

Bertans is making $ 7 million this season with the Wizards. Next summer he will become an unlimited free agent, and he can be paid generously. According to David Aldridge of The Athletic, Bertans could receive between $ 15 and $ 20 million per season next summer, although opinions differ on what he will get on the open market:

“He will receive from 15 to 20 million dollars a year this summer,” said one of the former front office employees. “Most likely for a two-year deal. I don’t see him get a four-year deal.

But the current grandmaster does not agree. “He will not receive 20 million,” wrote GM. “(There are) only six teams with space.”

Wizards 9-21 in a season. Most likely, they will not fall into the playoffs.
