Today the whole country is observing Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to honor the tribal communities for their contributions to India. For the unversed, Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is also known as Birsa Munda Jayanti. Birsa Munda was a freedom fighter and social reformer who awared the tribal communities about living in remote areas. Birsa Munda Jayanti is celebrated by everyone on November 15 as it is the date when Birsa Munda was born. He is referred to as a tribal hero who hails from Chotanagpur.
