PlayStation Exclusive Sci-Fi RPG: The mysterious next PlayStation game to be released runs on Unreal Engine 5, according to sources, and features a massive oozing creature.
It’s no knowledge that Sony is working on a variety of games that could be exclusive to the PlayStation platform as well as brand new intellectual properties, but until now, it’s been unable to get any specifics about these games.
PlayStation appears committed to maintaining its leverage strategy for the foreseeable future, having amassed a strong library of console exclusives that are only now being trickle-launched on PC.

The newly released game with the oozing theme appears to be aiming for the action role-playing genre, and the available footage suggests that it may be Sony’s answer to games like Outriders and Gears of War.
The unnamed oozing game appears to be an over-the-shoulder shooter with mind-bogglingly huge foes, similar in nature and format to Horizon: Forbidden West‘s own leaked alpha footage.
The prominent leaker Dusk Golem provided additional background information to the IconEra leak of the Unreal Engine 5 oozing game.
According to Dusk Golem, the development of this sci-fi ARPG is much further along than the leaked footage would suggest, and it is already fully voice-acted.

Even more so, Dusk Golem has stated that he has seen far more footage of the ooze game than was featured in IconEra’s leak and that he is excited for the devs to show it out in its final form.
Sony’s major focus is still clearly on delivering high-end AAA experiences for the PlayStation, and the newly leaked game may (if not likely) be used as a headliner in this sense, considering its usage of Unreal Engine 5 and the interesting-looking creature shown off in the leak.
It’s worth noting that there have been many PlayStation and Sony gaming leaks recently. The news that The Last of Us 3 was being developed leaked in December of 2022.
While it’s always wise to take rumors with a grain of salt, it’s quite likely that the corporation would try to make the most of its big intellectual properties, with TLOU being a prime candidate.
To speculate further on Sony’s oozing game, in particular, there is simply not enough information currently available. Though, the fact that it’s being developed in Unreal Engine 5 is surely exciting.
The natural next step is to use Unreal Engine 5 to generate enormous, oozing monstrosities, as demonstrated by fan initiatives like the latest Unreal Engine 5 Max Payne 2 remake.
