Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time Season 2 – What We Know So Far

The second season was initially announced by the wraparound jacket on the cover of Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan manga Volume 9, which was released on November 11, 2021.

On April 25, 2022, it was announced that the official title for the second season is Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Super Extra (Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan Super Extra).

Japanese actors that previously appeared in the first season will return. Kana Yuuki and Shiori Izawa will provide the voices for two new characters, the elf female Fruitalia Eldriel and the rabbit girl Mithlim Nezarant. Despite the fact that the specifics of his part in Peter Grill Season 2 haven’t been made clear, Hilcrhyme member TOC will be debuting as an anime voice actor, according to the official website.

Although Peter will battle maniacal female goblins in the second season of the anime TV series, he is more afraid of family problems with Lucy Grill, the world’s toughest sister. But when will the second season of Peter Grill’s Kenja no Jikan premiere?

The second season of Peter Grill will be made in cooperation with Studio Seven and the resurrected Studio Wolfbane.

Wolfsbane Animation Studio produced the first season of the anime. They are credited with animation assistance on the 2018 Crossing Time series of anime shorts, but the Peter Grill anime appears to be their first full production.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that director Tatsumi (who is also the principal animation director for Peter Grill Season 2) has experience with bawdy animation given the subject matter of the Peter Grill anime. Similar films have been directed by Season 1 character designer Rui Ishike as well, however, Koh Kawarajima will take over for the second season.

The 2016 anime Kiitaro’s Yokai Picture Diary is one of the regular anime projects for which scriptwriter Nora Mouri has experience.

The opening (OP) theme song for the first season of Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time was “Piercing Melancholy,” which Yui Ninomiya, the Japanese voice actress who plays Luvelia Sanctos, sang. Hip-hop group Hilcrhyme’s “A Shoulder To Lean On” served as the closing (ED).

The music for the Season 2 OP (opening) theme song for Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time has not yet been revealed. But Hilcrhyme is back to perform “Heart In Love (Koigokoro),” from the Peter Grill Season 2 ED.

Beginning on August 14, 2020, HIDIVE began to stream the English-dubbed anime Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time, and on July 10, 2020, Crunchyroll began to offer English subtitles.

On September 25, 2020, the last episode, Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time Episode 12 was made available.

Peter Grill To Kenja No Jikan Season 2 Release Date Predictions: Is Late 2022 Possible?

The release date for Season 2 of Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time has not yet been formally confirmed by Futabasha Publishers, Studio Wolfsbane, or any other organization involved in the anime’s production. Nevertheless, the second season of Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan was scheduled to begin filming in November 2021, and a new key visual was unveiled in April 2022.

This post will be updated with pertinent details as soon as the news is formally confirmed.

In the interim, one might make predictions about the upcoming Peter Grill Season 2 launch date.

The anime production committee renewing the second season caught everyone off guard, in a way. The anime’s overall poor performance in terms of reviews is the major problem.

But the majority of the negative reviews came from people who preferred humor and characters to raunchiness. The TV show is probably only surviving on sales of the Peter Grill uncensored Blu-Ray discs alone because the anime did deliver on the raunchiness.

A lot of pre-production work goes into assembling the team of animation contractors and voice actors for anime productions, which are now scheduled years in advance. The second season of the Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time anime is expected to air either in late 2022 or early 2023 because it was approved for production in the fall of 2021.

Peter Grill And The Philosopher’s Time Season 2 Spoilers (Plot Summary/Synopsis)

The anime had evolved since the previous time we watched Peter and the gals, becoming a little bit more action-packed and less centered on humorous harem antics. Season 2 of Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time will continue this trend by veering more toward a humorous combat harem from a filthy fantasy.

Peter finds himself in a pickle when female goblins started attacking men all throughout the nation. Every so often, these alleged “Goblin Disasters” take place all across the world when all the female goblins enter their reproductive cycles, kill all the male goblins, and then go on the rampage in search of any and all males aboveground.

Even the goblins themselves are ignorant of the causes of the Goblin Disasters or how to stop them. Until the calamity is over, humanity has traditionally reacted by killing goblins in large numbers.

Kenji-San, a self-described “goblin expert” from an “eastern country,” claims to know how to stop the female goblins from going on the rampage, but he gets hurt before he can reveal the solution.

To confront the female goblins head-on, Luvelia assembles an elite female squad. However, she runs afoul of the Hellish Three Stars, the female Hobgoblins, and loses.

Even worse, Luvelia is apprehended and taken off. Despite Peter’s efforts to save Luvelia, the Hobgoblins are aware of his frailty. Peter lays down his weapon and requests to be transported to the Goblin Queen since he is unwilling to compromise her security.

Peter is hoping that the Goblin Queen will be somewhat like how Piglette surpassed his notions of Orcish monarchy because the Hobgoblin girls are so adorable. Sadly, the Goblin Queen is an absolute monster.

Peter, who is incarcerated with the goblins, is shocked to receive a visit from Gobuko Nggiel, one of the Hellish Three Stars. His childhood memories of his sister, the KGI (Kill Goblins Immediately) movement, and a particular little goblin come flooding back when he sees her.

Peter persuades Gobuko to betray the goblin colony after realizing that they were a family (it’s difficult). With her assistance, they manage to flee and come up with a non-genocidal conclusion to the Goblin Disaster issue.

Even when everyone ends up happy, Gobuko stays with Peter because the Queen is unwilling to pardon her. Nobuko is happy to be back with her family, but neither Peter nor the other girls in the treaty are really excited about it.

Family problems, sadly, are only getting started. When Peter learns that his younger sister Lucy Grill is coming to visit, he panics after receiving a letter.

Since their father repeatedly cheated on their mother and caused the family to break apart, Lucy has a great loathing for cheaters. As an adult, she pursued their father to the edge of the planet before severing his “you know what” (as Lucy prefers to say) and stuffing it into his mouth.

If anything, Lucy is more terrifying than the guild leader since if her wrath is aroused, she can turn into a berserker without a kill switch.

Given that he frequently cheats on Luvelia, it goes without saying that Peter does not want Lucy to be aware of his peculiar situation. But Peter only manages to survive by coming up with yet another lie to add on top of the other ones as Lucy starts to suspect something is wrong and becomes furious.

And when a plot involving the dwarf mining city of Gorgonzola starts, that gap gets much wider.
