77-year-old Chaudhry Parvez Elahi is a former Chief Minister of Punjab. As per the report, the capital officer in Islamabad stated in a tweet on platform X (formerly Twitter) that former Punjab chief minister Elahi has been taken into custody on orders of the district magistrate under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order.
