Is The Outer Wilds Now Available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?
Outer Wilds, developed by Annapurna Interactive and published by Mobius Digital, has been released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X/S. The 2019 console version of the critically acclaimed first-person space simulator game will include 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. If you already have the game for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, the upgrade can be downloaded for free.

Alex Beachum, now Outer Wilds’ Creative Director, began development on the game while still in school; the game’s early access build earned the Seamus McNally Grand Prize and the Excellence in Design award at the 2015 Independent Games Festival. A number of awards have been bestowed upon it since its first publication.
