Oppo A78 5G: The Oppo A78 5G’s full feature set and price were only recently leaked. And today is the big day: the Chinese manufacturer finally released their smartphone to the public in Malaysia. On January 14th, it is also anticipated that it would arrive.

Oppo’s latest mid-ranger features a sizable LCD screen, a powerful MediaTek processor, two 50-megapixel cameras, and much more. We have just heard about the brand-new Oppo A78 5G, so let’s find out more about it.

The camera module is offset to the left, and the device’s back is divided in half by a vertical stripe. The screen is completely flat on the front and features a waterdrop notch. The chin of the phone is noticeably wider than the rest of the device.

This brings us to the technical requirements. The LCD screen of the Oppo A78 5G is 6.56 inches in size, and it boasts HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 frames per second (Hz).

The phone has an octa-core CPU from MediaTek called the Dimensity 700, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Furthermore, it has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The primary sensor on this smartphone is 50 megapixels. It’s part of a dual-camera arrangement on the back. As an added bonus, there is a 2-megapixel depth camera.

It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies. The device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging.

It also has 5G network support, a 3.5mm audio connector, USB-C, and a fingerprint scanner on its side. The IP54 rating means the smartphone is protected against dust and water. It uses Android v13 with ColorOS v13 on top for its operating system.

There is still no word on how much the Oppo A78 5G will cost officially. The smartphone’s release date in Malaysia has also not been announced. New information suggests the device’s lowest storage model will cost roughly($230).
