Earlier, he was the president of Y Combinator and he was also the CEO of Reddit. He is Jewish. he was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. The mother of Sam Altman is a dermatologist. He completed his schooling at John Burroughs School and then attended Stanford University where he studied computer science but later he dropped out without completing his bachelor’s degree. Sam Altman has also said that the regulatory changes are not needed for the recent AI models but they would be needed very soon. They do not the regulations here but it will be for a couple of generations. But at one point when the model can do the equivalent output of the entire company or for the entire country they might need collective supervision near that. Once he called for the regulation of the powerful AI models that the technologies fear might turn very uncontrollable by the makers. At the start of 2023, he also said to Congress that the United States and the other government parties should consider imposing regulations on the products.
