Obsidian Flames, the upcoming Scarlet & Violet TCG expansion, has been made public by The Pokemon Company. Here is what we currently know about the forthcoming Pokemon TCG set featuring Paldea. The Scarlet & Violet Pokemon TCG expansion, first released in March 2023, has produced several well-known cards. Everything we know about it, including when and how trainers can obtain the new deck of cards, is detailed below.
Koraidon and Miraidon, two legendary Paldea Pokémon, and the fiercely competitive Gardevoir ex have already been spotted. Obsidian Flames, the third TCG set inspired by the well-liked Gen 9 games, was unveiled on May 25 by The Pokemon Company.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Obsidian Flames Release Date
The Pokémon Company just unveiled the following set of Scarlet and Violet TCG cards. The “Obsidian Flames” compilation is scheduled to be released on August 11th.
Serebii.net broke the news and stated that there would be over 190 cards in the collection, 15 of which are Pokémon-ex cards with increased hit points and more potent attacks, and six of which are Tera Pokémon-ex cards, Darkness. Charizard ex and Tera Type Tera For the latter, Tera Type Tyranitar ex have been confirmed.

New Pokemon TCG Obsidian Flames Cards
TPCi has provided fans with a preview of what to anticipate from the third Scarlet & Violet expansion, even if the set’s contents are unclear.
Scarlet & Violet: Obsidian Flames has around 190 cards, some of which have Tera forms, including ex-cards from well-known Pokemon like Charizard, Tyranitar, Eiscue, Dragonite, and Greedent. Obsidian Flames will generally provide trainers with the following, according to the blog:
- Over 190 cards
- Type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex with a crystalline appearance, including a Darkness-type Charizard ex
- More than 20 brand-new Pokémon ex: a new take on a returning game mechanic
- More than 15 Trainer cards
- Dozens of Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations
