Nintendo announced the March 2023 NES, Super NES, and Game Boy updates for its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service in a YouTube video that put the spotlight on the new additions, which are available on both the Basic NSO and Expansion Pack tiers.
Kirby’s Dream Land 2 lets players explore the Rainbow Islands, and BurgerTime Deluxe brings arcade action to the Game Boy. Players can also put their skills to the test in Side Pocket, which is now in the SNES library, and Xevious, which is in the NES library.

In February, classic Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games were added to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. Those with the Basic NSO subscription could play the classic Game Boy games, while those with the Expansion Pack subscription could play the Game Boy Advance games.
When the Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online came out last October, some players were unhappy with how well it worked. However, the games did play at 60Hz in all regions, and the service has gotten even better since then.
