Nina Williams, the series’ silent assassin, will return in Tekken 8, as confirmed by a new teaser released today. Little has been said to dispel rumors that Nina will be a playable character in Tekken 8, and developer Bandai Namco has now confirmed as much. She has been around since the series’ inception and has been in nearly every significant installment thereafter.

She will be joining the likes of Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Jack-8, and Lars Alexandersson at Tekken 8 as previously reported.

It is unknown when Tekken 8 will be released, but development is well underway in Unreal Engine 5 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Bandai Namco, the developers of the Tekken series, revealed over the weekend that a worldwide limited alpha test for the game would be held later this year to collect player feedback on the sequel’s improved systems. At Evo Japan this coming March, the Japanese will have the first opportunity to play the game before it is released elsewhere.
