Dragon Ball Z fans everywhere were surprised when Bandai Namco and Toei Animation revealed a fresh new game in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The title has not been announced, but it will likely be called Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 or something similar. A teaser was used to make the announcement.
The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it does show a television playing Dragon Ball Z footage and then cut to a shot of Goku being Super Saiyan Blue. After the phrase, “a new Budokai Tenkaichi begins,” the words “prepare ready for war” appear.
With the previous three games in the series released in 2005, 2006, and 2007, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 would be the first new installment in over a decade. Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP was the most recent entry released in 2010.
Fans await formal word from Bandai Namco and Toei Animation on what platforms Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will be available.
