New Bedford couple caught after Wareham hit-and-run crash

Two young women from New Bedford are charged with a traffic problem in Wareham.

According to the police in Wareham, 27-year-old Amanda Vincent was at the wheel at noon on Wednesday and got intoxicated with alcohol when she fled from the accident site of a motor vehicle near the Route 195 flyover on the Cranberry Highway.

Officer Aaron Pacheco stopped near Atlantic Boats on the Cranberry Highway Vincents vehicle at around noon on Wednesday. She was arrested and accused of operating under the influence of alcohol, leaving property damage, and operating without a license held.

Karissa Depina, 25, was a passenger in the car. The Wareham police said she was detained for an active warrant.

Also in Wareham, a local was arrested around 5:11 a.m. after the police saw him driving down the center of Main Street with the left rear wheel missing from his car. Matthew Donovan, 28, is accused of operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving and a pronounced lane violation.
