NDRF team enters Uttarkashi Tunnel to save 41 trapped workers with ambulances on standby

Now news has come out that the team of NDRF has officially entered inside the tunnel to save the lives of the 41 workers and the ambulances are on standby. According to the sources, a total of 15 members from the team of NDRF have gone inside the tunnel now to rescue the lives of 41 laborers who have been trapped under the tunnel for the last 10 days. They have been trapped inside a tunnel got collapsed in Silayara Tunnel which is located in Uttarkashi. Now some new updates regarding this is that the process of evacuation has been officially stated. It is utilizing the 800 mm diameter steel pipes which has presented some challenges for the rescue mission. The team of NDRF has drilled to approach for the pipes to reach the other side of the debris.

According to the reports, medical professionals have already arrived at the scene and a lot of ambulances have already taken position to ensure the safe transfer of all the workers. These ambulances are going to take to the hospital which is in Chinyalisaur which is around 30km away from the scene. The Indian Railways and Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd have collaborated. They are operating the special train transporting from Karambeli in Gujrat to Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. Already total of 41 beds have been established at the Chinyalisaue Community Health Centre in the district to provide medical care to all 41 workers. Now the family members of all the workers are very happy. One of the family person of the workers has said that they called their son on Diwali but he didn’t arrive now as he is coming out of the tunnel the family members have got some relief. Currently, the government of Jharkhand is making arrangements to airlift all the 15 workers who reside in the state. More updates to be shared very soon.
