My Hero Academia 6 Release Date: Is Next Season Coming?

My Hero Academia Season 6 Release Date

My Hero Academia might easily be compared to Hollywood heavyweights like the superheroes from Marvel and DC who take up too much room. But compared to practically everything created by either of these studios, these anime stand out, based on Khei Horikoshi’s manga series of the same name, is much more passionate and bizarre.

My Hero Academia digs into the essential spirit of superhero stories with all kinds of eccentricities since it isn’t constrained by live-action constraints, and we mean that in the truest sense. Because of this, it should come as no surprise that the show carries on with the same tenacity that makes Izuku Midoriya successful at UA High.

What lies ahead for this show’s future, though, given that season five revealed greater division than usual? As we break down every detail of My Hero Academia season six, we want you to join us here at Digital Spy.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Release Date:

Although the sixth season of My Hero Academia is slated to premiere this autumn, the cover of The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine just hinted at a more precise release date of October 2022.

But thanks to a special screening at the show’s annual Hero Fes event, a few extremely fortunate fans will be able to catch the season six premiere earlier than that towards the end of July.

While there might be online snippets, the complete program won’t air for the rest of us until October 2022, and even then, we don’t have a particular date.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Cast:

Although it’s unclear who will return for the forthcoming season of My Hero Academia and who will be replaced, the voice cast is incredibly large.

Keeping this in mind, the following voice performers that we anticipate will return for season six in both Japanese and English are listed:

• Izuku Midoriya — Daiki Yamashita (Japanese); Justin Briner (English)
• Katsuki Bakugo — Nobuhiko Okamoto (Japanese); Clifford Chapin (English)
• All Might — Kenta Miyake (Japanese); Christopher R. Sabat (English)
• Ochaco Uraraka — Ayane Sakura (Japanese); Luci Christian (English)
• Tenya Ida — Kaito Ishikawa (Japanese); J. Michael Tatum (English)
• Tsuyu Asui — Aoi Yuki (Japanese); Monica Rial (English)
• Minoru Mineta — Ryo Hirohashi (Japanese); Brina Palencia (English)
• Momo Yaoyorozu — Marina Inoue (Japanese); Colleen Clinkenbeard (English)
• Fumikage Tokoyami — Yoshimasa Hosoya (Japanese); Josh Grelle (English)
• Shoto Todoroki — Yuki Kaji (Japanese); David Matranga (English)

But those are just the individuals we are familiar with; there is more than enough room for the world to grow much more. In addition to the pupils and teachers, it is very likely that there will be other villains on the loose.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Plot:

During the post-credits sequence of the fifth season of My Hero Academia, Class 1A was seen gazing out toward a city full of supervillains. Since the Paranormal Liberation War is a significant event in their universe, we can assume that season six will center on it.

In order to fight against our heroes, villains will form a super-coalition of evil.

There are many reasons to get excited about it because it is also one of the most anticipated and well-known manga storylines. The Paranormal Liberation War dominates chapters 253 to 306 of the graphic novels, for those who are only now reading them.

Without giving too much away, the Heroes now have enough knowledge to face the Paranormal Liberation Front head-on, in large part due to some sly reconnaissance work from Hawks.

But take heed—by the time this battle is over, our heroes won’t look anything like they did when the fifth season came to a close.

Studio Bones has also promised two new OVAs in advance for fans who simply cannot wait for fresh episodes. In a delightful homage to the sports shonen genre, the first one, titled “HLB,” will center around our heroes playing baseball. Keep an eye out for it in June 2022.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Trailer:

The sixth season of My Hero Academia has a Japanese trailer that, however, lacks subtitles. However, there is still a lot for us to take in.

Our heroes and villains are seen assembling, with practically everyone we had hoped would be present and accurate—proving to be quite the teaser.

Moments featuring Endeavor, Aizawa, Miruko, and Haws are particularly compelling.

After this one-minute film, in which they are not yet engaged in combat but are merely preparing to do so, all that is left is a waiting game.
