Molly Fitzgerald, who played a minor role in Captain America: Captain America: The First Avenger, was arrested Tuesday for stabbing her mother’s death last month, police said in a statement.
According to a police statement, on December 20, law enforcement officials responded to armed unrest in Oltach, Kansas, at her mother’s house, Patricia E. Fitzgerald. Patricia was discovered with an obvious stab wound and was pronounced dead at the scene at the age of 68.
“The 38-year-old white woman, known to the victim, was found at the scene and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries,” the police said in an initial statement. It was later updated to read that Molly Fitzgerald was arrested.
Molly Fitzgerald is accused of second-degree murder and is under arrest for $ 500,000, according to Kansas City Star. The representative of the Olate Police Department was not immediately available for comment.
Molly Fitzgerald played a small role in 2011 in the movie Captain America: Captain America: The First Avenger, which IMDb calls Stark. She also worked as an assistant director of the film, Joe Johnston. She has credits for low-budget films, including Lawful Truth 2014 and Creeps 2017.
