Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Roadmap Details Revealed

Activision has released the schedule for Season 2, which begins on February 15 with Modern Warfare 2. The updated multiplayer content includes four additional maps, a new Raid episode, brand-new weaponry, and a brand-new battle pass. Here is all you need to know about the significant Season 2 update to Modern Warfare 2.

New Weapons and Operator

Five new weapons will be available in Modern Warfare 2’s Season 2. The battle pass’s free tiers contain the ISO Hemlock assault rifle, KV Broadside shotgun, and Dual Kodachis melee weapon.

At the same time, in-game challenges will allow players to obtain the crossbow and Tempus Torrent marksman rifle. As the battle pass operator for the season, the Ronin operator from Modern Warfare 2019 also makes a comeback.

Seasonal Path Of The Ronin Event

The Path of the Ronin event, which functions similarly to previous Call of Duty seasonal events, will debut alongside Season 2. Seven challenges must be achieved in Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2 to participate in the event.

The tasks focus on the Seven Virtues of Bushido—Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity, and Loyalty. The Crossbow weapon from Season 2 may be unlocked by completing all seven challenges in the event. Each challenge has a prize for accomplishment.

Multiplayer

New Maps

Two “new” normal multiplayer maps and two more large-scale war maps will be available when Season 2 launches.

Dome is bringing back multiplayer for the standard maps. Dome, which originally appeared in Modern Warfare 3, is now in Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map and Vanguard.

The second normal map is the Valderas Museum, which was obliquely removed from Modern Warfare 2 after being first featured in the beta. The two new maps for Ground War and Invasion modes will be Al Mazrah’s Zaya Observatory and Al Malik International locations.

New Modes

The Call of Duty game’s Hardcore multiplayer option will be back, as was previously confirmed. Season 2 will also bring the competitive Ranked Play option from Treyarch.

The Call of Duty League’s CDL-approved rules, constraints, maps, and modes shall be followed throughout the ranked play. A place on a separate Top 250 leaderboard and skins for each skill division are among the particular awards players can rank up in leaderboards and earn.

With the release of Season 2, Call of Duty’s iconic Infected mode will return. In this mode, one player is designated as “Infected,” and all other players must stay clear of that player. Every eliminated player joins the Infected team until no players are left or the time limit has been achieved.

For Season 2, Modern Warfare 2 is introducing some venerable party modes. All-or-Nothing and One in the Chamber are set to release later in the season, while Gun Game will be available at launch.

New co-op Raid Episode

A fresh episode of Raid is what players can anticipate. These three-player episodic Raids, which combine stealth, action, and puzzle-solving goals, extend Modern Warfare 2’s narrative.

Atomgrad’s first episode debuted with Season 1 Reloaded, and Season 2 will start the next chapter of the report. While Price, Farah, and Gaz will return for episode 2 later in the season—likely the mid-season update—Activision did not reveal any additional plot specifics.

Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 will also have weapon adjustments and perk balance. Changes to the quality of life and bug fixes are also anticipated.

The new Ashika Island terrain and other features are also planned for Warzone 2. Check out the brand-new information for Warzone 2 and DMZ Season 2.
