MMDA to develop P70-M park along Roxas Boulevard Promenade

When will Roxas Boulevard promenade open?

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is eyeing to complete the project before Christmas this year. Yes, you heard it right, if everything happens right and the development work remains uninterrupted the promenade will be opened to the public on Christmas when people will visit Roxas Boulevard promenade to spend some quality time with their families and friends. The MMDA on Wednesday announced that this urban green space is planned to be launched before Christmas this year.

Features of Roxas Boulevard Promenade

According to the reports, Roxas Boulevard Promenade is being developed at the Libertad Pumping Station up to EDSA corner. This urban green social park is designed to be 800 meters in length and it has a width of 22 meters which means Roxas Boulevard Promenade will have an approximate area of 17,495 square meters. It will be a pet-friendly public spot where people will see a futsal area with a mini-futsal field, benches, artificial turf, fences, and bleachers. In addition, the park will also have a bike lane alongside the jogging path, solar lamp posts, and a resting area.

The acting chairman of MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) Don Artes said, “The Roxas Boulevard Promenade Project is not just about creating a park; it is about creating a space where families can bond, advocate fitness, a place of recreation and leisure, and a place to breathe. This project is the first of many projects that will represent a harmonious blend of urban development and green spaces, designed to enhance the quality of life for all residents of Metropolitan Manila,” He also added in his speech that the development of the promenade is to promote an active lifestyle of Metro Manila residents.
