Microsoft 365 Services Back Online After a Disruption Lasting Several Hours

Microsoft Corp announced on Monday (June 5) that it had restored its online services following a more than two-hour disruption that impacted thousands of users of its 365 software suite, including Teams and Outlook.

There were reports that at its peak, nearly 18,000 users were unable to access Microsoft’s productivity software, such as Word and Excel. By 12:57 p.m. ET, that number had decreased to 906 users.

A Microsoft spokesperson said –

“We have resolved an issue preventing users from accessing some of our services.”

Microsoft announced earlier that it was investigating a problem with web-based Outlook access, and later added that Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for business were also unavailable.
