Mechwarrior 5 PC Requirements: Released on December 10, 2019, for Microsoft Windows, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is developed by Piranha Games and is based on the BattleTech universe. This is the first MechWarrior game without multiplayer since 2002.
Like other games with Epic Games Store exclusivity deals, its initial availability as a store exclusive was met with criticism. In 2020 on May 7th, it was released for PC users to access via Xbox Game Pass.
On May 27, 2021-2022, it was released for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Steam, and GOG, with the Heroes of the Inner Sphere downloadable content pack. Nvidia RTX ray tracing and DLSS are included.
