Cedar Rapids, Iowa. One of the two men accused of killing a man in Cedar Rapids wants their trial to be rescheduled from Lynn County.

Drew Wagner, 34, referred to preliminary publicity in his request filed on Sunday. The court record does not indicate when the judge can decide to change the venue.

Wagner and Drew Blanick, 32, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and other crimes in the murder of 31-year-old Christopher Bagley. He went missing at his home in Walker in December 2018. Investigators found his body buried in the backyard of Cedar Rapids in March.

Investigators said that Blahnik admitted that he struck Bagley in revenge for robbing a major marijuana dealer.

The court records do not show that Blahnik also demanded that the trial be rescheduled. The trial should begin on July 6.
