A few days back, on December 6, 2023, he was admitted to Concepcion de Sincelejo Hospital after showing cerebral ischemia signs. His family reported that the singer was further shifted to ICU due to severe headaches affecting his health. Lisandro Meza’s son Lisandro Meza Jr. shared the news of his poor health on December 7, “We are clinging to God, my father is in poor health. We are worried. The old man is improving a little, he is responding to the treatment, but he is still in a delicate state,”
On Saturday, December 23, the hospital announced Lisandro Meza’s death, “His death occurred after having been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since Wednesday, December 6, 2023, where he received comprehensive management by a multidisciplinary team,” The specifics of his cause of death have not been explained yet. Following his demise, his wife Luz Domínguez has become a trending topic. Meza tied the knot to Luz Domínguez in 1957. They spent together 66 years after their marriage.
