Kilitch Healthcare India Ltd has recently recalled a total of 27 types of eyedrops that are sold in US stores nationwide because they may be unsafe. This has been recently stated by US regulators. The Food and Drug Administration has given a warning to consumers in October 2023. They warned not to purchase or use the store brand eyedrops from Walmart Inc., Target Corporation, CVS Health Corporation, and some other companies because their eye drops have a risk of giving an eye infection. According to the source, some days ago Kilitch made the eyedrops in an unsanitary factory in India where most of the workers went barefoot and other fabricated test results that gave the appearance of the safety of the product, The FDA inspectors officially visited the Kilitch facility for the first time in October 2023 where they got to know about some health violations. In them, the microbiologists were filing the backdated test results that purported to showcase the batches of the eyedrops that were sterile. FDA took some samples at the time of the inspection which showed bacterial contamination in the filling areas where the eyedrops had been bottled. Recently, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), sked Kilitch Healthcare to healthcare the products on 25th October 2023. But on the other hand, the company has not done it till now. FDA has great power to force the drugmakers to recall the products but on 23rd October 2023 FDA banned the Kilitch factory by sending more eyedrops to the United States.
