Jennifer Wingate Saluda SC Passed Away In Irmo Car Accident
The news of Jennifer Wingate’s death was confirmed by Saluda County High School through a Facebook post shared on the internet. According to the school, Jennifer Wingate died at the age of 34. She was the band director and girl’s soccer coach at the school. The official post shared by the school reads, “Our Saluda High School and Saluda County Schools community are saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Saluda High School Band Director and Girls Soccer Coach, Jennifer Wingate. Ms. Wingate’s contributions to our school and community were invaluable. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and to those students and parents she taught, coached, and collaborated with each day. In support, our district’s school counselors and local clergy will be available at the school to assist students and staff through this difficult time.
Jennifer Wingate passed away in a car accident that happened on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Irmo. It is said that the crash happened at around 10:30 PM in the night on the 1300 block of Lake Murray Boulevard. The Saluda School teacher was immediately taken to a hospital by the emergency services but she was declared dead on her arrival.
