Jack Black has made another catchy song, and this one is about how much he loves video games. After writing “Peaches” for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, he and his band Tenacious D released “Video Games” with a music video that has more references to video games than you can count on two hands.
You can see the entire video right below –
It starts with an animated version of Jack Black talking about how he doesn’t play video games, which we all know isn’t true, while his bandmate Kyle Gass plays guitar. As the video goes on, Black starts to talk about all the video games he’s played, while Gass keeps getting kἰlled by different animals and characters from the games.
Do you know that Abbey Games has revealed that a sequel to its indie god simulator Reus is “on the way”? This is almost a full decade after the first game came out for Windows PCs:
Throughout the song, he talks about God of War, Fallout 4, Sonic the Hedgehog, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter, Minecraft, Tomb Raider, Team Fortress 2, Mega Man, and Super Mario Bros.
It’s just Black’s most recent mix of games and songs. “Peaches” made it to the Billboard Hot 100 list last month. It was No. 83 on the list, making it the first single song of his to make the list.
Before that, the last time he was on the Billboard Hot 100 list was in 2006, when Tenacious D made “The Pick of Destiny.” Follow us on Twitter if you want to know when we post more information like this.
