Atlanta Hawks head coach Lloyd Pearce says little striker Jabari Parker had an MRI scan on his right shoulder on Tuesday.

Pierce says he needs to speak with the Hawks training staff, but there may be some concern that Parker will come in contact:

Pierce said that Jabari Parker has an MRI on his right shoulder today.

“He has something with a shoulder there. I need to talk to Chelsea about what to do next. ” (1/2)

“He will have to undergo treatment, but he obviously felt good enough to go through and shoot, but I don’t know about the contact. There may be some concern about his strike. ” (2/2)

Jabari Parker did not play Monday against Orlando Magic. Former No. 2 general pick appeared in 31 games for Hawks this season. He scores an average of 15.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists, completing 50.6 percent from the field, 27.7 percent behind the arc and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Hawks, playing without Parker and point guard Trey Young, managed to defeat Magic with a final score of 101-93. Atlanta is now 7-27 in a season.

Last season, Hawks signed Parker for a two-year deal of $ 13 million. Atlanta talked about making the playoffs this season, but, with the exception of some miraculous twist, hawks appear on the road to skipping the postseason again.

Hawks play again on Friday against the Boston Celtics. Lloyd Pierce will update Parker’s status accordingly.

Parker played for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards last season. A Chicago native scored an average of 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists, completing 49.3% of the field, 31.3% of the arc and 71.2% of the free-throw line.

The main reason Parker limited himself to “Bulls” was so short, because Chicago head coach Jim Boylen put Parker on the bench for not showing enough defense effort. Parker has a good relationship with Pierce so far.
