According to Gilad Alper, the man who made it by using a Tesla Model 3 is simply known as C who is from Kibbutz Mefalsim and he was working with the settlement’s emergency squad. C described the harrowing incident from the hospital where he underwent head and hand surgeries. He said Hamas militants were riding a Toyota truck that had a machine gun. They spotted C just 10 yards away. Upon seeing him, the Hamas gunmen armed with Kalashnikovs and a larger caliber machine gun opened fire on C’s car but they were unaware that it was Tesla Model 3 electric vehicle. But C’s car’s tires got busted.
Despite the punctured tires, the Tesla Model 3 performed exceptionally well led C to save his life from the Hamas group. C quickly accelerated in his Tesla Model 3 in a bid to save his life and start a high-speed chase. Despite the damaged tires the commendable acceleration of the Tesla Model 3 kept him ahead of the attackers on the road. Meanwhile, C managed to distance himself from them. He realized the urgency of time and pushed the Tesla car to its limits, reaching speeds of up to 112 mph with deflated tires.
