The conflict between Hamas and Israel entered its 18th Day on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. On October 7, 2023, Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, launched an unprecedented attack on Israel. Recently, it was announced that the Hamas Group released two Israeli hostages, Yocheved Lifshitz and Nurit Cooper, on Monday, October 23, 2023, in the night. After the release of Yocheved Lifshitz and Nurit Cooperm, the total number of hostages released by Hamas has increased to 4. The other two hostages released by Hamas are an American mother and daughter, they were released on Friday. The release of two more hostages was announced by The International Committee of the Red Cross. It said the Hamas Group has released two hostages who had been captivated in the Gaza Strip. The recently released hostages were identified by Israeli media as Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz of the Israeli kibbutz of Nir Oz. Meanwhile, Hamas asserted that they released them for humanitarian reasons. Earlier, Israel demanded the unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas.
