According to the source, the counting of the votes for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections has already started from 8:00 am on 3rd December 2023, Sunday. It was announced that the postal ballots had been counted in the first half hour and then after some time, the Electronic Voting machine vote count started. The Indore-1 assembly constituency is a major part of the Madhya Pradesh state which is mostly known for its industries and it has a literacy rate of 75%. As per the reports provided by sources, the constituency boasts a population of more than 5 lakh residents while there is a total of 3,45,988 voters. Of those total 1,77,887 are women and 1,68,101 are men. And despite that, the number of Muslim community voters is a total of 52,518. It has been reported that on 17th November 2023, the elections for 230 assembly seats in MP were held in a single phase. So the Indore-1 constituency witnessed around 72.28% voter turnout, in which approx 73.69% were males and around 70.82% were females. Almost 900 officers are involved in the counting process of votes. In those 900 officers around 516 government officials are going to count the EVM votes and around 180 government officers are going to count the postal ballots. And other officers are assisting in the process of vote counting.

On 26th November 2023, the lead contenders which means Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress organized a separate training session for their respective candidates and counting agents. Sources have revealed that the Congress arranged the training session in Bhopal whereas on the different side BJP connected its candidates on a virtual meeting for the training.
